'Outlander' season 4 clip and behind-the-scenes video
A new behind-the-scenes video from the production set of “Outlander” season 4, which includes an unseen clip from the show, has been released online. The main focus of the video if Dewey, the dog that plays Rollo in the TV series.
John Bell (Young Ian) introduced the fans to David Stewart the animal wrangler of the show in the new video [see below]. The actor met the dog when it was just a pup. In order to develop a strong bond with the dog, the actor went through a lot of training together with his new best friend on the set.
Dewey and Bell went to puppy training classes, climbed mountains together, and the end result is that the two developed a strong bond. One of the methods Bell used, and continues to use, to train Dewey is treats that he keeps in his pocket. The actor revealed that he keeps the treats small to make sure his pet doesn’t grow fat quickly. Bell uses these treats any time the dog needs an extra motivation to perform a task.
“Mr. Dewey here is a fantastic actor,” Bell said in the video. The dog has become Bell’s best friend, the actor said.
The video also teases a new clip from season 4. The scene is Young Ian introducing his new pet to his uncle and aunt. While Jamie (Sam Heughan) immediately takes a liking to Rollo, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) points out that it is actually a “bloody wolf” rather than a dog.
Another scene, which may or may not be a part of the TV series, shows Young Ian feeding his pet at the bank of a river. Jamie can be seen entering the scene in the background.
The cast members have all been praising Rollo in their interviews. The fans will have to wait till the show airs in order to fall in love with the new dog.
