'Outlander': Time for the clan to vote Jamie and Claire Top TV couple
It is time for the clan to come together once again and vote for “Outlander.” Jamie and Claire are in a race to win the TV couple of 2017, and have already reached the fifth round. There are now just two more rounds of voting before the final winner is announced.
There are four couples in the race at the moment. Apart from Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe), the other couples are Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.) and Alec (Matthew Daddario) from “Shadowhunters,” Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and Lydia (Holland Roden) from “Teen Wolf” and Isak (Tarjei Sandvik Moe) and Even (Henrik Holm) from the Norwegian show “Skam.”
The English translation of “Skam” is “shame.” The show is based on the lives of teenagers across Norway. Clips from the next episode are put out online in real time, with no warning about when they will be released. At the end of the week, all the clips already released are compiled into one episode.
The Norwegian show has been able to push out popular TV series like “The Vampire Diaries” and “The 100.” The show is currently up against “Teen Wolf.”
“Outlander” on the other hand is competing against “Shadowhunters.” While this may seem an easy win for the Starz show, as of this writing Jamie and Claire are behind by about three percentage points. Fans can vote for the show at EOnline.
Meanwhile, one of the cast members of the Starz TV series celebrated his birthday recently. Steven Cree (Ian Murray) has turned 37, and he got best wishes from Balfe and Heughan. [Correction: this article previously mentioned Steven Cree to be 40 years old. However, the actor has confirmed that despite Heughan's claims he is 37 years old.]
The producers are currently getting the sets of the show ready to continue filming. Filming is yet to begin in South Africa. Balfe and Heughan are scheduled to travel there soon to complete the remaining episodes.
Co-Executive Producer Matthew B. Roberts continues to tease pictures from South Africa. The latest picture he shared [see below] is a close up of a flower. The producer pointed out that they are not in Scotland anymore, and are now exploring the new sights and smells.
“Outlander” season 3 is set to air in September. This is one of the longest Droughtlanders the fans will have to endure. In the meantime, Heughan, Balfe and the producers are doing their best to help the fans by engaging with them online. At least half of the 13 episodes have been filmed, and the fans have already seen stills from the first few episodes of the show.
