‘Outlander’ TV Series - Sam Heughan And Caitriona Balfe Read Tweets From Fans; Behind-the-Scenes Image Of Lotte Verbeek Surfaces Online [Watch Video]
The producers of the “Outlander” TV series have released a new video that shows the lead actors, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, reading some of the tweets about them. Meanwhile, a behind-the-scenes image of actress Lotte Verbeek has surfaced online.
The video begins with Caitriona, who plays the role of Claire in the TV series, explaining to Sam that she will be reading some of the tweets by the fans to him. “Oh God! Okay,” Sam says in the video. The actor plays the role of the Scotsman Jamie Fraser in the TV series.
“Jamie looking good in trousers RAWR!” read the first tweet. The character Jamie can be seen wearing a kilt in the “Outlander” TV series. The second tweet was from a woman who said that her “ovaries just exploded.”
Sam Heughan read a tweet meant for Caitriona later. The tweet said that the character Claire puts the “sassy” in “Sassenach!” The word sassenach is used in the TV series by the Scotsmen while talking about Claire. The term is used for an English person.
One of the fans tweeted that Jamie's collar bones looked “sexy” in the TV series. Sam wanted to confirm with Caitriona about which bone is referred to as a collar bone. The actress called for an anatomy doctor to explain it to her fellow cast member. Sam reminded her that she played the doctor in “Outlander” and he was just from the 1700s.
Another fan complemented the character Claire for being “smart and beautiful” and also tweeted that when given a weapon, the character turns into “one badass lady.” “I don’t know what show you are watching,” Sam told the fan in the video.
Meanwhile, a behind-the-scenes image of Lotte Verbeek was released on the official Starz “Outlander” Instagram page. The image shows the actress in her show costume, getting ready to film a scene. The actress plays the role of Geillis Duncan.
Claire and Geillis have managed to form a friendship, even though Geillis still doesn’t trust her. The trailer of the next part of “Outlander” shows Claire being held in chains, which suggests that she may be accused of witchcraft.
