It was just in January when there were reports about the possibility of a Katy Perry movie set in 3D. Finally, the pop star made a confirmation that the project has already received approval from Paramount Pictures, which will be released in the big screen come summer.

It was over at her own Twitter account that she made the big announcement. She even made the revelation of its title which is 'Katy Perry: Part of Me' and will be presented in the 3D format, as expected. Perry even invited all her fans to trend it over the micro-blogging site.

At the same time, it was The Hollywood Reporter who shared the news that the said concert movie is on the process of finding the right person who would sit on the director's chair.

The Magical Elves are already discussing with Paramount to handle Katy Perry's movie. They were also the ones who served as producers for another hit artist's movie, 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.'

The movie project of Katy will be made as a concert documentary style which would highlight the life of the actress on and off screen and the stage. This is something that would make every fan feel exhilarated to discover another different part of the singer-songwriter.

There were sources that shared the tone of the project would be pretty much the same as how the concert movie of Justin Bieber was done.

Other celebrities who have made successful movie documentaries include GLEE, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. But the one who had the biggest gross is the late King of Pop Michael Jackson for the 'This Is It' movie. It garnered a total of $261.2 million last 2009 while Glee failed to make the same victory on this line of project.
