Paul Walker the name commonly associated with fast cars and revving engines not just in reel life but in real life. Walker starred in the blockbuster "Fast & Furious" film franchise that glorified fast cars and death-defying swift driving. Basking in the success of high-octane franchise and and the joy of turbo charged vehicles, Walker cherished many other interests. With the passage of time, Paul was inculcating more passions but his tragic death had cut it all short.

Apparently his craze for speed and cars brought him to the "Fast and Furious" film franchise. In 1999, Walker told Automobile magazine that while shooting for "The Skulls" he revealed to director Rob Cohen, "I want to do a movie where I'm racing cars or I'm an undercover cop."

In 2001, Cohen's very next film, "The Fast and the Furious" starred Paul Walker. His wish was fulfilled and subsequently a high-octane franchise was born. It became one of the most successful film franchise in Hollywood. Paul's passion for racing only strengthened with the increasing number of "The Fast and the Furious" flicks.

Paul also partnered a performance shop Always Evolving (whose CEO and his close friend, Roger Rodas was driving the car that killed both him and Walker). He later became an enthusiastic fan of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, a form of martial arts that focus on wrestling and he admitted jiu-jitsu helped him become an improved surfer. Walker had received the second-highest level of achievement i.e. a brown belt and was putting his best efforts toward earning a black belt.

Despite the fact that he cherished everything from parkour to archery, Walker had suggested he was dawdling down as he neared the age of 40.

"I used to be a really big hunter," said Walker, adding, "What I've found as I've gotten older is I enjoy taking photos of the wildlife more."

Walker was exploring a budding interest in birds and science of plants in recent years. In addition, Walker started to pursue botany as a leisure pursuit.

In an interview with GQ, when asked about one thing people don't know about him, he answered: "I love long range rifle shooting. I like anything that deals with precision. I also find that with archery. On my ranch I have my own range with 3-D targets of animals and hay bales from different distances. I've been doing it for a long time - my dad has photos of me with an adult-sized bow and arrow from when I was two. I wanted to do it at the Olympics. It was an escape - I didn't have a rough childhood, but I needed my alone time when I was a teenager."
