One of the highlights of the MTV Movie Awards 2012 was the unveiling of the first trailer of the movie adaptation of Stephen Chbosky's "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."

Before the awards show, Nina Dobrev introduced the teaser trailer of the movie. While the teaser trailer showed the love interest of Charlie, the first official trailer provide an overview of the whole movie than makes fans more agitated.

Also, the film recently released its official poster that follows a minimalist design that shows Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller standing against a yellow green wall, which is the color of the first cover of the book.

The Facebook fan page of the movie announced a live stream and chat with author Stephen Chbosky and film stars Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller.

The fans were given an opportunity to ask the guests different kinds of questions. The cast revealed that they can identify themselves on their characters. Harry Potter series star, Emma Watson, said that she can relate to her character, Sam, despite not having a formal highschool experience. She claimed that she can relate to her character's heartbreak and how stressful dating can be.

Ezra Miller can also identify himself with his poignant character, Patrick, in the film. He shared that when a person acts outside the "normative standard," he becomes an outcast.

However, the cast said that they felt intimidated playing the characters that already have a big fan base. They were hoping that their performance would suffice people's expectations.

The interview closed with a meaningful question of what makes them feel infinite. Emma Watson shared that doing things that can make her forget herself makes her feel like so.

The movie is based on the 1999 best-selling novel of Stephen Chobsky that tells a coming of age story of Charlie entering his highschool and teenage years. The book beautifully presented the highs and lows of being a teenager. The book is often compared to J.D. Salinger's controversial yet highly recommended novel "Catcher in the Rye."

The author said that every scene on the film depicts the pictures in his head when he was writing the book. He also added that he could not ask for a better cast. The author hinted for a possible sequel of the book but there are no plans yet. Now, he is working on his new book that would somehow remind us of Charlie.

The film stars is joined by Nina Dobrev, Paul Rudd, Mae Whitman and Johnny Simmons completing the ensemble. The movie will be shown in September 13.

There is no word yet about its Australian release.
