Kree Harrison has been defeated by Candice Glover as Season 12 ‘Idol’ Winner, when America decided that the girl from South Carolina, with strong vocals and more command on stage should be crowned the elusive title of “American Idol.”

The two-hour telecast of this’ year’s Idol finale would not be complete without the outstanding performances of great artists in the music industry. It was time for the judges to bring down the microphone and grab their “music” gears - -guitars for both Keith Urban and Randy Jackson as the two male judges took to the stage to perform with Kree Harrison.

Keith Urban performed “A Little Bit of Everything.” Candice Glover and Jennifer Hudson sang "Inseparable" and the stunning performance received standing ovation from the judges and the audience.

Randy Jackson got a much-deserved tribute for helping the struggling Idol (in terms of ratings) reaches to the finale, without much ado, but a slew of dramas. The head judge certainly kept all the other judges (esp. Nicki and Mariah) together and he made sure that there remains some credibility from the side of the panel (even if Mariah wasn’t saying too much, really).

Mariah Carey also took to the stage and reminded everyone that she is yet at the twilight of her career and she still has what it takes to regain what once was her - - a real Diva with hit songs that Nicki Minaj has yet to achieve. (She was right, there for once).

Idol winner Philip Phillips performed “Gone, Gone, Gone” as Fox paid tribute to the American Idol 2013 and the two finalists got their Ford Escape (each).

Jennifer Lopez took to the stage at the end of the show (is this a prelude to the rumored comeback on judging panel?) But what really brought the whole house down was Psy, reportedly invited by Idol to at least help the show pump up ratings. More highlights of the final show on Idol can be found here.
