Pippa Middleton extends an invitation to the royal family for her May 2017 nuptials
Pippa Middleton is set to be married on May 2017 to hedge fund manager James Matthews. While very few details of the highly-anticipated wedding have actually been confirmed, members of the royal family are expected to be in attendance, with the little ones even walking down the aisle.
Pippa and James have started to plan a relatively simple wedding ceremony and reception, which will be held at St Mark’s Church in Berkshire and the Middleton family estate respectively. The 33-year-old socialite reportedly wanted to stay close to home for her traditional wedding, but it is an added benefit that the property of St Mark’s will offer the couple some privacy on their big day.
Kate Middleton and Prince William are expected to be in attendance, as well as Prince George and Princess Charlotte. And while Us Weekly has confirmed that the youngest royal will be a flower girl and that her older brother is likely to be a page boy, reports conflict as to what role the Duchess of Cambridge will play. The general consensus is, however, that Kate will be reader during the ceremony.
According to Independent.ie, Prince Harry has been extended an invitation to the wedding as well. The two apparently got well acquainted during the 2011 nuptials of their siblings. Harry was William’s best man, and Pippa was Kate’s maid-of-honour -- a role that shot her into media’s spotlight. It is still unknown whether or not Harry will bring his girlfriend, Meghan markle to the party.
Pippa and James were engaged in July after less than a year of officially dating, although the two were linked together back in 2012. The proposal took everyone by surprise, including Pippa herself. Nevertheless, her family has reportedly been thrilled at the news.
