'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Production Update: New Image Reveals Another Ship From The Set
A new image of a ship from the production sets of “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” has surfaced online. The ship appears to be different from the previously reported leaks from the set. The production of the movie is currently ongoing in Australia.
“Pirates of the Caribbean 5” continues the story of the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow. A Twitter user, Jonathan Trevithick, posted a picture of a ship being built at Helensvale, Queensland. The image shows that the producers tried to block the ship from getting viewed by the public by using some large containers.
The image shows the back of the large ship set. The ship’s wheel and multiple ropes can be seen in the image. There are no sails used in the set and the ropes are tied to the mast of the ship. It is unclear if this is the Black Pearl, a ship that was the main focus of the first movie from the franchise.
A previous report by IBT revealed another ship that the producers were building for the movie. The ship has two golden statues at the back, sitting back to back and holding golden tridents in their hands. The statues have roman styled helmets from the medieval era.
The main plot of “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” is about Jack Sparrow going in search of the Trident of Poseidon, a mythical artefact that can give the wielder control over the seas. The pirate captain will need the weapon in order to take on the new enemy in the movie.
Javier Bardem plays the role of Jack’s antagonist, Captain Salazar, in the upcoming movie. He and his fellow pirates will escape from the Devil’s Triangle and seek to kill every pirate on the sea. Jack will have help from some of his former allies and friends such as Will Turner, Gibbs and Marty to take on the new threat.
Geoffrey Rush will be reprising his role as Barbossa in “Pirates of the Caribbean 5.” Some of the other cast members in the movie are Stephen Graham, Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaties, Kevin McNally, Martin Klebba, Adam Brown and Johnny Depp.
