‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star Johnny Depp and David Lynch are helping a 16-year-old make a film
Johnny Depp, David Lynch star in a short film named “The Black Ghiandola” by Anthony Conti. The 16-year-old boy, Anthony Conti, is suffering from terminal cancer. The Make A Film Foundation has made this short film possible.
The foundation is a non-profit organisation that helps young people with serious medical conditions. It helps these teenagers make films which feature celebrities. Conti’s short film is currently in its post-production stage.
The story of the film surrounds a man trying to save the life of a girl during a zombie apocalypse. Conti himself plays the lead role of the young boy. A few other directors also helped him in the entire process. Directors Sam Raimi, Catherine Hardwicke and Ted Melfi of "Evil Dead," "Twilight" and "St Vincent" respectively helped the boy in the direction process.
Anthony Conti has some experience in the filmmaking process. He has a sci-fi YouTube series named "The Satanic Zucchini Show." He contacted Make A Film Foundation and eventually got hold of this project.
The courageous boy has posted a number of pictures of the production process on his Instagram account.
It took around five days for the film to complete.
