‘Pitch Perfect 3’: Universal Pictures gives fans a chance to join promotions for film
Actress and film producer Elizabeth Banks has launched a digital search for creators who would be willing to do marketing promos for "Pitch Perfect 3.” This gives fans an ultimate chance to participate in the promotion and build up to the film.
Banks’ company, WhoHaha, has partnered with Universal Pictures for the contest called Go Pitch Yourself. Those interested to join simply need to send a creative video and explain what makes them unique and perfectly imperfect just like the Barden Bellas.
The official website for WhoHaha states that five winners will be picked. Prizes that await the winners include an all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles to participate in a week-long social content lab. The winners will also get the chance to produce a clip with Banks, which will be tied into the marketing campaign for “Pitch Perfect 3.”
Furthermore, the winners’ videos may also be featured in the Blu-ray and DVD releases of the movie. People who are interested to join can send their creative videos until Feb. 16. Winners will be notified on March.
The WhoHaha website displays a video of Banks announcing the initiative. “Being a content creator is more than just finding views. With ‘Go Pitch Yourself,’ we’re looking to collaborate with funny fans who could embrace a spotlight, tell their unique stories, and are eager to take their craft to the next level,” she said.
“Pitch Perfect 3” stars Anna Kendrick (Beca), Chrissie Fit (Flo), Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy), Hana Mae Lee (Lilly) and Shelley Regner (Ashley). Kelley Jakle (Jessica), Ester Dean (Cynthia Rose), Brittany Snow (Chloe) and Anna Camp (Aubrey) are also part of the cast.
“Pitch Perfect 3” is directed by Trish Sie. Banks is one of the producers of the film, alongside Paul Brooks and Scott Niemyer of Gold Circle Films. It will hit Australian theatres on Aug. 3.
