The 10-year run of the epic Harry Potter movie may have reached its end, and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and the rest of the gang have moved on with their respective careers--but it seems that the Harry Potter franchise is far from over.

It's looking like the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them may be seeing a future in video games, a plan that Warner Bros. is drawing up, according to Joystiq. This follows the recent news that a new Harry Potter film series will be in the works, with the aforementioned title being the first in the series.

"Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for seventeen years, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world," said J.K. Rowling in a interview quoted by Hollywood Life.

The focus this time will be on Newt Scamander, the author of Fantastic Beasts, but the video game platform will be both a standalone game and an expanded online content for Pottermore.

Restore the King to the throne in LOTRO: Helm's Deep

Another movie that will be getting a new game is The Lord of the Rings, as the Helm's Deep game is now set to launch on November 18.

This will now be the fifth expansion for the game, taking off after Riders of Rohan, and headed for the West Rohan and the rest of the fortress. According to Escapist Magazine, the expansion will push the level cap to 95.

"Helm's Deep is the site of the most memorable battle in Middle-earth and we're excited to announce our launch date and introduce some great new in-game items for anyone who pre-purchases the expansion," said game executive producer Kate Paiz in a press statement quoted in Escapist Magazine.

GameSpot adds that the expansion will come in two editions, the Premium Edition for $60 and the Base Edition for $40. The $40-edition will have the Helm's Deep content, Hauberk of the Hammerhead chest piece, 1,000 Turbine points, and Helm's Enforcer title.

Adding $20 to your purchase will bring up your loot to the following:

- Armor of Hammerhand

- 10 quest log slots

- Crystal of Rememberance

- Helm's Enforcer title

- Helm's Avenger

- 2,000 Turbine points

- Helm's Deep content

Both pre-purchases will get you the Shield of Hammerhand with a +25% experience, the Steed of Hammerhand, and a Rohirrim mount with War-Steed appearance.

Not just new monsters, but also new gameplay

When Monster Hunter 4 hits retail in September 14 (unfortunately, it hasn't been announced to release for other markets), you can expect more than just new monsters for the game.

Capcom has decked out new gameplay features, such as jump attacks, underwater combat, and traverses in landscapes to enjoy the game even more.

"When it comes to working on the Monster Hunter series, there's always one thing I'm conscious about. It is being able to see how fun it is by watching others play it," said Ryozo Tsujimoto, producer, in an interview quoted by VG 24/7.

"With that in mind, I thought that rather than having flat lands, you'll be looking up and down if you have slants and level differences, which adds more variety to movements, in turn, making it look more fun, in my opinion."

This can make for an even better handling and exploration of the environment, and it would feel more like a new game rather than an expansion with more monsters.
