‘Pokemon GO’ update: Buddy System details and Worldwide Bloom micro-event
The “Pokemon GO” Buddy System provides players with a lot of in-game benefits and lets them walk around with their favourite Pokemon. Players need to choose one Pokemon and then carry on with the game as usual. He/she will automatically receive free Candies for that Pokemon.
This system is a bonus for players as they do not have to catch a lot of the same Pokemon to level and evolve them up. They can’t continue playing the game normally and still get the same benefits due to the Buddy System. There is no limit to how many rewards a player can earn from this system. Added to that, all types on Pokemon are eligible. Players can tap on the bottom-left icon and select a Pokemon of their choice from the menu. Pick and choose any Pokemon. Players can change their Buddies any time they wish.
Players will receive Candies as they keep completing their walking goals. However, there is an important point to note here. If a player changes his/her Buddy before completing the progress to the next reward, all progress made till then would be lost. Thus, it is always advisable to change Buddies only after earning all the latest set of rewards, writes GamingBolt. Meanwhile, the game’s first true micro-event, Worldwide Bloom, is taking place this weekend. The event will see a large number of Grass-type Pokemon spawn in the wild from May 5-8.
Once players login to the game, they will be surprised to see the amazingly large number of Grass-type Pokemon present in the game. The event was initially named “Grass Weekend.” Players must use the lure module to increase spawns in the surrounding area for six hours and not the usual 30 minutes. Niantic has chosen a unique strategy to keep the game evolving and also keeping the fan base intact. The developer will reportedly rely a lot on these micro-events, and it will be interesting to see what it has in store next.
The Grass-type Pokemon that already have increased spawn rates are Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Bellossom, Paras, Parasect, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebel, Exeggcute, Exeggutor, Tangela, Chikorita, Bayleef, Meganium, Hoppip, Skiploom, Jumpluff, Sunkern and Sunflora. According to GameRant, this micro-event is unlike to introduce the Legendaries or the first mythical Pokemon. Niantic CEO John Hanke has said that teh Legendaries would soon be a part of the game.
“Pokemon GO” requires a mega-event to release the Legendary Pokemon. Stay tuned on IBT AU for more updates on the Worldwide Bloom event.
