Paramount Pictures released five posters from the upcoming "Terminator: Genisys" on May 9. The character posters of the main cast include John Connor as a T-8000 model.

The posters can be seen at ScreenCrush.com. According to the report, the set of posters are extremely heavy on Photoshop "to the point where they look painted."

Apart from Jason Clarke as John Connor, the rest of the main casts feature Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor and Byung-hun Lee as the T-1000. "Terminator: Genisys" also stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. (Watch the trailer below.)

According to Comic Book Movies, "Terminator: Genisys" is a reboot of the entire "Terminator" franchise and the first of a new trilogy. The movie is set in 2029, when the prophesied war is raging and the "evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet" is on the brink of defeat.

Like the 1984 original, "Terminator: Genisys" also has John Connor, Sarah's son, as the leader of the resistance and Kyle Reese as his loyal soldier. John sends Reese back in time to save his mother from the Terminator programmed to kill her. According to the report, what Reese "finds on the other side is nothing like he expected."

The second trailer of "Terminator: Genisys," however, showed what Reese and the fans will find after he time travels to the past. This includes some major spoilers. (Watch the trailer below.)

According to the Esquire, in "Terminator: Genisys" Sarah Conner has been "protected and raised" by an older-model Terminator played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. A key part of the trailer is when Schwarzenegger shots John Connor with a shotgun. After a few seconds, Connor gets up revealing his regenerative powers, to the horror of his mother and Kyle Reese. Sarah Connor demands to know what they have done to her son while holding an assault rifle. The trailer ends with Reese vowing to reverse whatever Skynet has done to Connor.
