'Terminator: Genisys' Shocking Twist Revealed In New Trailer, Matt Smith Still Missing [Watch Video]
A new shocking twist has been revealed in the second full trailer of “Terminator: Genisys.” Cast member Matt Smith did not feature in the trailer and very few official details about his character, Tim, in the movie has been made available by the producers. [Spoiler alert]
One of the robots that the fans may have seen in the earlier trailer, which some fans assumed was Matt Smith’s character, is actually Jason Clarke’s character John Connor. The trailer reveals that the leader of the human resistance in the movie will become part machine-part man in order to “survive.”
John Connor’s mother, Sarah Connor, will try and prepare her son all her life in “Terminator: Genisys” to be the leader of the human resistance against the self aware computer program called Skynet and its army of robots. John will eventually choose to turn partially into a robot and the character is seen travelling back in time and meeting his young mother.
Commenting on the big revelation in the trailer, many of the fans expressed their concern about the trailer having revealed too much. Some of the fans point out that there should have been a spoiler warning in the video. Some of the fans also felt that the second trailer was much better than the first trailer, as the plot twist changes what the fans originally thought about the story line.
Some of the fans believe that John Connor will be the villain in “Terminator: Genisys,” but there is no indication to suggest that the character has merged with Skynet or that he works for the computer program. Readers should also note that the actor Matt Smith has so far not featured in any of the trailers on the upcoming movie.
The main heroes in the movie will emerge to be Sarah Connor and her companion T-800, along with Kyle Reese. “Everything has changed, we are humanity’s last hope,” Sarah says in the video. Kyle wants to try and reverse “whatever they did to John.” It is unclear who is responsible for turning John into what he has become in the movie.
The heroes in “Terminator: Genisys” will be fighting off at least three villains. The young T-800, the T-1000 that is played by Byung-hun Lee and the liquid metal robot of John Connor. Some of the fans point out that the liquid metal robot in the trailer may not be John, as it would not make sense for him to attack his own parents. Some fans believe that this is Skynet taking John’s form.
