'Power' season 5 episode 9: Tommy doesn't trust Ghost anymore
A new preview video and sneak peek scene of “Power” season 5 episode 9 have been released online. After the shocking events in the previous episode, there will be some explosive situations to deal with for Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and James (Omari Hardwick). The following article contains spoilers from the episodes that have aired already.
Kanan (50 Cent) is dead and Dre (Rotimi) has been arrested, but the Federal prosecutors will not rest till they get Ghost. A preview video of the next episode [see below] shows Tasha (Naturi Naughton) explaining how she didn’t expect things to turn out the way they did. Tommy is angry with her for making plans on her own.
Joe (Jerry Ferrara) appears to come clean in the next episode, telling James that the Feds are coming to get him. Ghost will have a choice in the next episode, and he may have to choose between himself and Angela Valdes (Lela Loren).
Joe told the Federal prosecutors that he is sure Angela is helping James and Tommy. Since the Feds don’t have a concrete case against Ghost, they may go after one of their own, unless Dre has some information he can trade for his freedom.
Tony Teresi’s (William Sadler) storyline will also come into focus in the next episode. After James warns Tommy multiple times about being careful about Tony, the first clue about his shady deal may surface in the next episode.
Tommy always has had a sixth sense when it comes to people around him hiding things. In the next episode he will ask his father about how he got out of prison. Angela already knows that her colleagues have an informer close to Tommy, and if she shares this information with him, it will be a matter of time before the snitch is discovered.
A sneak peek scene from the next episode [see below] shows how things are not the same between Tommy and James. There is a trust deficit between the two.
Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) will be the most important character to watch going forward. The character has been evolving since the last season, and he is set to play an important role in the future.
