Pregnant Kate Middleton might have cancelled her recent public outings to Malta and other countries, but looks like the Duchess is looking forward to a New York City trip soon. According to various media outlets, Prince William and his pregnant wife Kate are planning an official trip to New York City in the "coming months."

Does this mean that there is a slight sign of improvement in the health of the Duchess of Cambridge, who is currently suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum? Hyperemesis gravidarum is a severe morning sickness found in pregnant women. This condition has caused the 32-year-old Kate to stay homebound as her husband William is taking care of the social duties alone. The mommy-to-be recently cancelled her several scheduled trips due to her health, including a visit to Malta.

OK magazine has revealed the news, but it did not mention any specific date for the royal's New York City trip. The Kensington Palace is yet to officially announce any information regarding the trip. However, various unnamed sources close to the royal couple say that many depends of Kate's health and there are chances that this trip could also get cancelled if her health is not good.

"This trip is in the early planning phase but it's a clear sign that she is on the mend. However, if there is any suggestion that the duchess isn't well, it will be cancelled immediately," a source close to the royals revealed to OK magazine.

However, if the parents to Prince George do visit the New York City they are planning to stop at Ground Zero in addition to visiting city's famous monuments. A trip to Santa Barbara, California is also on schedule as they did last time, reveals the magazine. The last visit of Prince William and his wife to the United States was in July 2011 when they attended the BAFTA awards ceremony and hung out with Nicole Kidman and Blake Lively in Los Angeles.

According to Prince William, Kate Middleton's current health state is "so-so." "I'm sorry you've got me instead of Catherine. She's very disappointed she couldn't be here today," revealed William to the people of Malta during his recent visit. Read more here.
