Preparations In Full Swing For George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Wedding, Streets Around The Venue To Be Closed
Venice officials, who insisted to keep their anonymity, have confirmed that two picturesque streets will be closed on September 29, 2014 to keep away the unwanted crowd in wake of the much awaited wedding of George Clooney and British lawyer Amal Alamuddin.
Officials of the Italian city told The Detroit News that two pedestrian walkways near the 16th century Cavalli Palace will be closed on Monday due to the "the George Clooney wedding". The walkways, which are often visited by tourists, offer a view of the Grand Canal.
An unidentified Venice city official told that the closure is announced to prevent the possibility of a mob, which is a highly likely occurrence due to the celebrities in attendance and the renowned couple to be wed. However, the tourist activities will not be hampered as the area to be closed only has city offices. The closure will also only be applicable for two hours.
Clooney's much speculated wedding to the gorgeous British lawyer is one of the most awaited events of the year. Press reports are also indicating that the couple is opting for two ceremonies, one on Saturday and another on Monday.
However, the official also confirmed that these steps are not taken in view of celebrity status of bride and groom. Similar steps have been reportedly done as the palace is a popular wedding destination due to its size and stunning views of the Grand Canal.
Meanwhile, Clooney is counting down his last few days as a bachelor before he takes the plunge in a star studded ceremony in Venice. His bride-to-be has already landed in Milan, so he is expected to reach the place anytime soon. As reported by the People, Alamuddin's father and other family members are quite excited and already in love with their future son-in-law.
The wedding is expected to be a traditional one as the family of Alamuddin is following the conventional path and will be bearing the costs of whole affair--despite Clooney's $180 million fortune.
Alamuddin, who is also known as a fashion icon, will be reportedly wearing the wedding gown from the reputed and a well-known designer who also made one for Kate Middleton. Needless to say, media from all over the world are keeping their cameras ready to catch the first snaps of one of the world's most beautiful couple.
