'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6B spoilers: New villain's story to end in Season 7
PLL 6B air date in January 2016
With just two weeks left before the release of “Pretty Little Liars” Season 6B, viewers are waiting to see who the new "big bad" is in the forthcoming season. When the new season premieres, the liars are all grown up and have returned to Rosewood. Fans of the show were disheartened to learn that "PLL" would end after Season 7.
“Pretty Little Liars” executive producer I. Marlene King took to Twitter and clarified that it is not the show that will end after Season 7, but the story of Uber A that will end.
ABC Family, which will be named Freeform, confirmed that no decisions have been made for plans past Season 7 and no formal plans have been made for Season 7 to be the last. “PLL” had landed a double renewal for Season 6 and Season 7 back in summer 2014. King and cast members had teased that Season 7 could be the final instalment, Variety reports.
She told in August at the Television Critics’ Association press tour in Beverly Hills that a longer future for “PLL,” could be possible and that there is room for discussion, regarding an eighth season and beyond, according to Variety.

The liars Alison (Sasha Pieterse), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Paige (Lindsey Shaw) are all back in Rosewood. Now a new threat "Big Bad" is after the girls and he or she is worse than "A," Wetpaint reports. In the mid-season finale of “Pretty Little Liars” Season 6, viewers came to know “A” to be CeCe Drake or Charlotte, Alison’s older sister.
The girls have all become older in the five-year time jump. All of them have united to tackle the villain. Uber A is the new big bad, who makes an entry in the second half of Season 6, to torment the girls.
“Pretty Little Liars” Season 6B returns on Jan. 12 on Freeform (formerly known as ABC Family) at 8 p.m. ET in the US.
