Prince Harry recently promoted London's Poppy Day with English actress Barbara Windsor as the Legion's ambassador. The 30-year-old prince took a ride on the classic 1960s Routemaster bus to meet the military personnel and volunteers that support the Royal British Legion who were outside of the Buckingham Palace.

According to a Mail Online report, Prince Harry looked relaxed in his navy suit with a poppy pinned on his collar as he chatted, laughed and met with the supporters of the Appeal like singer Joss Stone and actress Lacey Turner. The stop outside of Buckingham Palace was the first on the bus' journey across the capital to promote the Royal British Legion's London Poppy Day that successfully raised £1 million in 2014. The bus' next stop was outside Downing Street where the passengers, who are the former and serving military personnel, met with the Prime Minister. Prince Harry even joked that the commissioner of Transport for London Sir Peter Hendy was possibly the most expensive London bus driver that day.

It was Prince Harry's turn to show support to the Poppy Day appeal. In 2013, Prince William and Kate Middleton took a trip on the Routemaster bus to High Street Kensington Underground station to promote the appeal.

The fundraising campaign's objective was to raise as much money in one day in order to support the Armed Forces. "It's gone from £500 to £1million that raised last year. It's a fantastic day. The people who give us really fantastic support are the general public across London," co-organiser Duncan Welham shared.

Afterwards, Prince Harry attended the remembrance and re-dedication of the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association members held at the St. Martin-in-the-Fields on Wednesday, Oct. 29. Lance Corporal Beharry shared that he spoke to Prince Harry at the event. "He said 'Not you again' because I was with him last night at a church service. He hosted us at St James's Palace. It has been a royal few days," Lance Corporal Beharry stated.

The Victoria Cross recipient further revealed the he has met Prince Harry several times already but the prince remains the same. Lance Corporal Beharry described Prince Harry as a person full of energy and amazing because he has a lot of time and respect for them.
