Ellen DeGeneres strikes again with her Halloween scare! The TV host got a priceless reaction from her celebrity guest Jake Gyllenhaal when she scared the "Nightcrawler" actor during his recent guest appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

Jake Gyllenhaal, 33, was obviously not prepared with the TV host's pranks and scares when he appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to promote his latest film titled "Nightcrawler." The actor received the scare of his life in the middle of his interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

The video "Jake Gyllenhaal Gets Scared" got uploaded on YouTube last Tuesday, Oct. 28, with currently over 300,000 views. It begins with Ellen DeGeneres declaring that she wants to see the actor do a comedy film at some point because he has been portraying dark characters in his previous films.

"What is it about the dark movies that you do?" the 56-year-old TV host asked. "I have this belief that if you kind of go into the dark sometimes it can be illuminating," Gyllenhaal explained.

Jake Gyllenhaal continued that he likes the dark characters he portrayed because it has been a fun experience for him. However, the actor got cut mid-sentence when Ellen's scare prank happened.

It turns out a male staff of the show dressed up as the "Annabelle" doll has been hiding in a box that looks like a coffee table next to the "Brokeback Mountain" actor. Ellen's male staff in an "Annabelle" costume popped out of his hiding place to give the celebrity guest a Halloween scare and he succeeded.

Jake Gyllenhaal was really shocked that he dropped the F-word on-air after the Halloween "Annabelle" scare. "Oh My God! What the f-k?" the actor stated in surprise as Ellen DeGeneres and the audience laughed at his reaction.

"Where's that guy? Bring him back!" Gyllenhaal stated. Then, the actor asked Ellen DeGeneres if the guy has been in that spot for a long time and the TV host responded yes. "Waiting for you," DeGeneres further confirmed.

Afterwards, the two shared a laugh when Ellen DeGeneres decided to show again a video clip focusing on Jake Gyllenhaal's reaction to her Halloween scare. Watch the "Jake Gyllenhaal Gets Scared" video below.
