‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Update: Sarah Wayne Callies in 'talks' about possible comeback as Dr. Sara Tancredi
Apart from being known for the unexpected twists in the story line, "Prison Break" was also famous for the chemistry between its lead actors, Michael Scofield, played by Wentworth Miller, and his love interest Sara Tancredi, essayed by Sarah Wayne Callies. Michael Scofield and Sara Tancredi’s romance blossomed in Fox River, the prison where Scofield was locked and they went on to marry each other. The viewers may again get a chance to see the chemistry between the two in "Prison Break" Season 5 as well.
Callies revealed a few months back that she was in "talks" with the decision makers behind the show.
"I’ve been approached. The talks are happening. I don’t know where they’re gonna go. You know, for me, it’s gotta begin and end with the material. Like, if the material is either worthy of the faith that the fans put in it or it’s not. I don’t want to do something that feels like a reunion because it would be cool to get the band back together. I want to do something because there’s more story to tell," Sarah told Forbes back then. Scofield’s love for Tancredi managed to move the viewers as he went berserk when Tancredi’s death was staged in the last season of the show.
“Prison Break” Season 5 is expected to return with a 10-episode event series in March 2016. While on-screen brothers Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller are expected to reprise their roles, nothing has been confirmed about the other characters of the show. If the viewers’ interest is taken into consideration, the show bosses would do all they can to bring back Sara Tancredi as well in Season 5.
Sarah was projected as a widowed mother in the final episode of "Prison Break" Season 4 in 2009. However, nothing has been confirmed officially from the actress. Apart from “Prison Break,” Callies was also seen in the popular TV series “The Walking Dead.” She is set to appear in a lead role in yet another TV series titled “Colony” in 2016.
