Mass Effect 4 has been rumoured time and again as the next installment in the Mass Effect franchise, but it seems that the previous three Mass Effect games are not yet ready to retire as far as the next-gen consoles are concerned.

It seems that remastered editions of the three games are being considered by developer BioWare. Metro has spotted a tweet from Aaryn Flynn, general manager for BioWare's Edmonton and Montreal Studios, which replies to insider shinobi602's question ("What do you guys think about releasing an ME Trilogy remaster for PS4/XB1? 1080p/high-res textures/60fps, etc?").

"We have discussed that internally. If we put solid plan together we'll share. Great to hear you're keen," tweeted Flynn. Aside from shinobi602, fans are pretty much keen on the idea, but the fact that the developer is already discussing it internally is a good sign.

March also means the Spring Fever Sale

Besides the new additions to the Instant Game Collection, the PlayStation Blog has also announced its annual Spring Fever discounts, which will be bringing in a handful of indie titles to the PS4 and the PS3.

"Just like last year's Spring Fever promotion, over the next four weeks we are championing indie developers who are bringing new and exciting experiences to the PlayStation platforms and giving PS Plus members 20% off each title during each game's launch week," said digital distribution manager for Sony Network Entertainment Chieh Chen over at PlayStation Blog.

The Spring Fever will run from March 4 to March 31, with each game title lasting an entire week at a discounted price. The first game on the PS4 is Awesomenauts Assemble, which will be sold at $7.99, while Master Reboot for the PS3 is at $11.99, both for the week of March 4 to 10.

From March 11 to 17, you can get Towerfall Ascension on the PS4 for $11.99 and Vessel for the PS4 at $7.99. Week three runs from March 18 to 24, with the two titles available for cross-buy with the PS Vita. These are Steamworld Dig on the PS4 and Luftrausers on the PS3, both at $7.99.

Capping off the Spring Fever Sale is Fez for both the PS4 and PS3, with both titles also available for cross-buy for PS3, PS3 and PS Vita at $9.99.

Another part of Spring Fever includes sales for four franchises, namely Need for Speed, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto and BioShock, with each franchise receiving a week-long discount for various games in that order. You can visit the link above for the full list of games and discounted prices.

Another release date for Watch Dogs?

One of the most-hyped and sadly, much-delayed video game for 2014 is Watch Dogs, and amid what fans are seeing as a downslope of the excitement is another potential release date, this time coming from Sony Entertainment Network store.

Spotted by VG 24/7, Watch Dogs is supposedly listed for a June 30, 2014 release, as seen in the screenshot in the link. However, seeing as this is a Monday on the calendar, it may just be a place-holder date.

This follows previous talk about a trailer that will "soon" be coming out to announce the final release date of the game.

However, Videogamer has also managed to scope out possible announcement news from David Theriault, product manager at Ubisoft, as he had tweeted that this could be a big week for Watch Dogs.

Whether this is the actual trailer release with the date has yet to be confirmed, but if the developer still wants to reel in fans into sinking their teeth in the game, now is the time to remind them why it was worth waiting for.
