PS4 news: New DualShock 4 controllers coming to UK, ‘The Last of Us,’ ‘Bloodborne’ and more games drop prices

Sony has just announced that two new styles for the DualShock 4 wireless controller will be available for the U.K. The two new colour options include the Crystal and Steel Black DualShock 4 controllers.

These two styles will come on July 11 alongside the Gold and Silver versions. These are all part of the limited edition Crystal and Metallic range, according to PlayStation Blog Europe.

An image of the different styles can be seen above for the four styles. Steel Black looks like a platinum finish while the Gold and Silver variants look their premium counterparts. The Crystal version has a more playful, translucent appeal.

Fans who are also looking for a good steal for top games may want to check out the North American PlayStation Store. Four big-name games have seen a price cut to only US$19.99 (approx. AU$27).

Among the games are “Bloodborne,” “Driveclub” and “Until Dawn,” which were all previously sold at US$39.99 (approx. AU$54). “The Last of Us Remastered” is also part of the price drop, from the steeper US$49.99 (approx. AU$67) price tag. According to one NeoGAF user Rymuth, the “Driveclub” version that’s part of the price drop is the full version, which contains all of the locations and all 50 cars. The PlayStation Plus Edition was restricted with only 13 tracks and 15 cars.

Spotted by Push Square, the games are also not part of a current discount promotion, so it is speculated that this may be the new price of the games. Over at NeoGAF, fans are also speculating if it can be a form of Greatest Hits at US$20 for the PS4 this time.

Already “Until Dawn” is getting some good attention, with gamers expressing interest in buying now that the price is more affordable.

So far, there is no announcement yet of a Greatest Hits program or if the price drop is permanent. Best to grab the titles while they are still available for the new lowered price.
