Even after months of having been released, the PS4 still encounters a number of issues. The latest issues plaguing PS4 owners is the corrupted save data that makes games unplayable.

Known as the error CE-34878-0, complaints have escalated after more people are ending up with the code after a game crashes. IGN has pinpointed some PS4 games where the code is commonly found, including "Battlefield 4," "Call of Duty: Ghosts," "Assassin's Creed 4" and "FIFA 14."

While there are reports of lost progress, there are also cases when PS4 users can't open the console's apps. So far, there are only temporary solutions that have been found, one of which is to delete files to get the apps running again.

CVG has found a guide from Sony's support page for two steps to deal with the PS4 error. First, the gamer should close the application, install the latest system software and game update and then restart the PS4 console. In case the error happens again, backup the saved data and then tinker with the Settings by clicking on Initialization and choosing Initialize PS4.

Sony is currently investigating the PS4 error, so hopefully, a more permanent fix will address the issue.

'Don't Starve' has a Chance on the PS Vita

One of the winning titles on the PS4 is "Don't Starve," and as though to affirm that position, the game already has over 1 million players. According to Edge-Online, developer Klei Entertainment not only confirmed the number of players but also the other platform that they are considering to release "Don't Starve" in.

"We're investigating a proper Vita version [of Don't Starve] at the moment, but we're not quite sure yet. Currently, a lot of people play Don't Starve: Console Edition using the PS4's remote play, and really enjoy it," said Corey Rollins of Klei Entertainment to Edge-Online.

Mr Rollins attributes part of the success to the fact that it was part of the PlayStation Plus promo as a featured game because they were able to be distribute to more people who would not have picked up the title at random.

Even beyond the PS Vita, Klei Entertainment is also considering a release on the iOS and other mobile devices, though these are just peripheral platforms that may not be the main focus yet.

Sadly, those who are expecting a sequel may not get what they want, as the developers are interested in finding something new to bring to the table after "Don't Starve" is done.

PS4 Exclusive Spin-off for 'Souls' Teased

There seems to be a lot of PS4 exclusives that are still in the shadows as another one surfaces, this time being a potential spin-off game of "Demon's Souls."

*"GTA 5" PC version is still not anywhere in sight, but this group of modders are doing what seems to be impossible---transforming the "GTA 4" map to become "GTA 5." Read the details here.

DualShockers has spotted the hint in a NeoGAF message board, where an industry insider who goes by the name of DemonNite drops the "Souls" bomb in a response to a fan query:

"If by souls you mean another PS4 exclusive Souls spinoff then maybe? :)"

It was previously teased that more unannounced PS4 exclusives are coming, though not everything has been announced as of yet. Given that the next phase of the next-gen console rivalry will heavily depend on the game that will keep players interested, games like this rumoured spin-off will surely win old fans over to the PS4 side.
