Apart from the actual PS4 black box and the DualShock 4 controllers, there are other accessories that you can purchase to enhance your gaming experience with the PS4, and Sony has already presented some of the prototypes at the E3 2013.

According to GameSpot, there would be a system headset, a charging station, and a stand for your gadgets. The charging station allows for two DualShock 4 controllers, while a stand allows the PS4 console to stand in a proper fashion.

The PlayStation Eye is also part of the system, though it is sold for retail at $60. Some have noted that this is where the cheat in price is ingrained, seeing as how the Xbox One already comes with the Kinect but the PlayStation Eye will have to be purchased separately.

However, TechnoBuffalo reports that the PlayStation Eye is not a necessary feature, and that the games can run even without it. This means that the PlayStation Eye can be treated as an added accessory for those who want to enjoy it.

Here's a video clip that showcases a demo for the PlayStation Eye, in case you are wondering how it would better handle the DualShock 4 when it comes to motion play.

As an added bonus, the report also singles out a feature of the DualShock 4 controller, which is said to be clickable, but the details of how it can be used in games has not yet been revealed.

Multiplayer fee justified?

One of the added fees that have been reported about the PS4 is the need for a subscription to PlayStation Plus for $5 every month in order to play multiplayer online.

But according to Shuhei Yoshida of Sony Worldwide Studios, the reason behind this move is that the funds will go to the improvement of many online feature snow being offered for the PS4, which include auto downloads, share features, and second screen, reports Computer and Video Games.

Think of it as an investment; to get the best content, sometimes you have to pay for the work and the resources being utilized.

"To make the pain a little bit less, we will continue to offer free content with instant game collections, discounts, and early access to betas on PS4 as well," said Yoshida to CVG.

It's not just this, as Yoshida also mentioned a free digital game every month, both for indie games and known titles.

Still, the added fee for the multiplayer online doesn't seem to stop consumers, as the report continues on how PS4 preorders are off the charts, seeing a spike after the announcement of the price, policies (or lack of restrictions), and other features.

Now Sony's PS4 is on the same level of popularity that the Xbox One has been enjoying pre-E3, a glaring nod to how the console battle will continue long into the year until the holidays arrive.

"We've been really pleased with the boost overnight of pre-order figures of the PS4 following our E3 press conference," said Head of Sony PlayStation UK Fergal Gera to Trusted Reviews. "We'll do our best to have plenty of stock for gamers in the UK."
