‘Quantico’ Season 1 Episode 11 ‘Inside’ recap: Mid-season finale shows Elias Harper as the bomber
“Quantico” mid-season finale got off to a kicking start revealing answers to a lot of questions that viewers had been pondering over since the beginning of the series in September. Showrunner Josh Safran had teased that the bomber would be revealed in the episode 11 of “Quantico” titled “Inside.” Also, Marcia Cross made her debut as Caleb’s (Graham Rogers) politician mom, Claire.

Eliza Coupe is introduced as hardcore FBI agent Hannah Wyland in episode 11 at a New Year’s Eve party at the Haas estate. She happens to be Ryan Booth’s (Jake McLaughlin) ex-wife. Meanwhile, in an interesting development in episode 10 of the ABC drama titled “Quantico,” Elias Harper (Rick Cosnett) was seen chloroforming Simon Asher (Tate Ellington). In the mid-season finale it comes to the fore that Elias is the bomber.
But, he did it under orders from a terrorist, not realising that it was actually going to work the way that it did. The former agent broke down when Team Alex questioned him. He admitted that he tried to frame Simon as the terrorist bomber, TV Line reports.
Elias also confessed that he was blackmailed into kidnapping Alex (Priyanka Chopra) on the morning of the bombing and left her at the hotel. As with his characters in the past in “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Flash,” in “Quantico” too, Cosnett dies. The lawyer jumps out of a window, presumably to his death but before dying Elias tells the NATs about the second bomb.
They defused the second bomb that had been planted in the hotel’s boiler room but unfortunately, another bomb detonated underneath the bank that had been converted into the bureau’s command centre near Grand Central. It was not revealed whether anyone was inside the centre at that time.
Meanwhile, Caleb’s mom threatened to destroy Shelby Wyatt (Johanna Braddy) for hurting her son. The viewers still don’t know whether Caleb is the actual terrorist/bomber. He is seen depositing money as his alter ego, Mark Raymond, right before another bomb goes off at the FBI command centre, E! News reports. Alex is left with Liam O'Connor (Josh Hopkins) by the end of the episode.
“Quantico” returns Sunday, March 6 on ABC.
