Queensland woman admits to 3 counts of bestiality after cache yields video of sex with dog
Australian women, lately, have been accused of sex crimes often associated with male criminals. After a 27-year-old Perth woman was accused on Tuesday of sexual penetration of a child under 13, on Thursday, a Queensland woman admitted to three counts of bestiality.
Besides the three counts of bestiality, 26-year-old Jenna Louise Driscoll also pleaded guilty to three drug-related matters at the Brisbane District Court. When she was arrested in October 2014, police found a large number of videos showing she allegedly had sex with a dog.
Authorities also searched Driscoll’s mobile phone which led to the filing of drug trafficking charges. Prosecutors, at a previous court hearing, said the woman arranged for the sale of 113 grammes of marijuana to be sold for $1,150 and another 85 grammes for $900 to a group of friends.
Rachel Cavalli, defense lawyer, asked for bail for Driscoll which Magistrate John Costello granted Driscoll bail, reports Courier Mail. He also ordered her to return to the court in December for sentencing.
But Sergeant Scott Pearson, police prosecutor, sought reporting conditions for Driscoll to report to the police once a week and live at a unit in Enoggera, Brisbane.
Germany, Sweden and Norway recently banned bestiality, while Denmark followed the footsteps of the three European Union countries.
