The company Doist developed a productivity app called Todoist which is available on a mobile device, desktop, browser, Gmail, and many more. Now used by over 450,000 people, the app was named top mobile application by The Guardian and cited by The Next Web as among the 35 best productivity apps for 2013.

The app allows users to create a project which will include sub-projects and tasks with deadlines marked by the user. The projects and tasks created can also be marked if it's completed or to be postponed.

Projects created by user are classified by levels, then tasks in that project will require schedule when to be completed, priority level, labels, and sub-task if desired.

Once finished creating a project, it will be displayed at the left side panel by simply swiping the screen. These projects are ready for synching across all devices the user may have which support Todoist.

The free version of the app is limited to a few certain functions such as project and task creation, input of label details, scheduler view, editing, and postponing and completion notes.

Purchasing the premium version will unlock functions such as SMS, email, and mobile push notifications, organizing tasks using colored labels and search filters, tracks and improve productivity on Todoist.com, add as many details as desired using the task notes, and widgets.

As part of the company's promo, the tech firm offers a half-price discount on Todoist Premium app from Jan 8 to 10, based on its regular price of $29 a year, disclosed Amir Salihefendic, founder of Doist.

Right now, the developer is making their rapid improvements for widgets, Jellybean notifications, better support for sub-tasks, and sub-projects. They are also preparing for new and other powerful features soon.

The app is compatible with nine different platforms, including Android, iOS, Chrome and Firefox.

Todoist runs on Android 2.2 or later and uses 2.1MB at least depending on the device.
