Rihanna Dishes Out Details About Her Upcoming Album, Says She Wants The Songs To Be 'Timeless'
It has been more than two years since Rihanna released her last album “Unapologetic” but the wait is not going to end soon, said the singer in her recent interview. The Barbadian beauty is focusing on the aspect of “timelessness” for her yet-untitled eight studio album as she wants the song to remain fresh even after “fifteen years.” The songstress has already released few songs from her upcoming album including “FourFiveSeconds” featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney.
“I’ve made a lot of songs that are really, really big songs,” Rihanna is quoted as saying to MTV. “From the jump, they just blow up. And I wanted to kind of get back to — not that they weren’t real music, but I just wanted to focus on things that felt real, that felt soulful, that felt forever,” she added, telling about the songs in her upcoming album. The singer admitted that she wants to include songs in her upcoming album, which she could still “perform in 15 years.” Talking about her previous album songs, RiRi said that she does not want to perform on her various old songs anymore as they do not “feel like me.”
For her upcoming album, Rihanna is making sure that she adds some “timeless” songs for it. The singer wants “things that felt real, that felt soulful, that felt forever” and she could perform them many years down the line. Apart from releasing the “FourFiveSeconds” song, Rihanna has also given her fans a sneak peek of tracks called “Higher” and “American Oxygen.” The singer has not yet revealed the name and release date of her upcoming album.
Ne-Yo, who has worked with RiRi on various tracks, said in his previous interview that he has heard some tracks from Rihanna’s upcoming album and they are “absolutely incredible.”According to Josepvinaixa, the “Diamonds” singer will release her new album “for sure in 2015” via her new label imprint Westbury Road Records. DJ Skee told the website that the singer has recorded a song called “(I’ve Been Searching for Something to) Ignite Me” for the album.
