Robert Pattinson Defends Kristen Stewart: 'She was one of the top three young actresses'
Robert Pattinson proves just how much he loves his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, by defending her against her haters.
Despite having their fame skyrocketed by the "Twilight" film franchise, Robert thinks that his and Kristen's fame have been based solely on the vampire flick. By the way Robert says it, it looks like he's glad "Twilight" is over and he's defending himself and Kristen from the entire fan back lash.
"Everyone always forgets Kristen was doing tons of indies before [Twilight], then you get a big movie and everyone's like, 'No you just didn't do any of that other stuff,'" shared Pattinson. "The reason I did 'Twilight' in the first place was I saw her in 'Into the Wild.'"
Robert's praise for his long time beau, Kristen, did not end there. While there are still Kristen haters out in the world simply because of Stewart's "Twilight" role, Robert says people shouldn't judge her from the "Twilight" flick alone.
"She was the go-to girl then, before [Twilight]," boasted Pattinson, adding, "She was one of the top three young actresses and everyone has forgotten."
Pattinson defending Stewart is just one way to prove how much the 26-year old cares for Kristen. "Robsten" fans are surely screaming with delight over Pattinson's statement which is enough to say that they're one serious couple.
Despite the "Twilight" films coming to an end this November, Pattinson and Stewart still continue to be compared to their "Twilight" characters and performances. For Robert, getting the role for "Twilight" made getting other casting choices even harder.
"I hadn't done that much- it's not like you do a big franchise then you get whatever," explained Rob. "It's a big fight, especially from critics," continued the "Cosmopolis" actor.
"If you get what they deem to be unfair success, if you get success too quick, they will keep fighting with you the whole time. You have to prove every movie. You are judged on such a higher level than everyone else, it's crazy, but it's cool at the same time. At least people care, that's the most important thing," shared Robert.
So the next time someone tries to diss Stewart, expect Robert Pattinson to come save the day. Whether it is on screen or off screen, the "Robsten" duo show exactly what it means to be supportive and in love.
