It looks like Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are not the only ones yearning to move on from the eternal Twilight Saga. The world’s top selling author, Stephenie Meyer, has finally admitted that she is “so over” Twilight that she hopes sometimes, to kill one of the lead characters that made Robsten household names.

Speaking to Dave McNary of Variety, Stephenie shared how she feels about the Twilight novels that made her one of the highest-paid authors we have today. Looking back, Stephenie feels that Twilight is “not a happy place to be.”

“I get further away every day. I am so over it. For me, it’s not a happy place to be,” Stephenie said when McNary asked her of possible “return to Twilight.”

But the popular author from Hartford, Connecticut, isn’t closing her doors just yet for the novel that propelled her to international superstardom like the iconic Robsten roles. Stephenie pointed that she still finds time to scribble a phrase or two about the Twilight in her blogs. Only this time, she’s considering wanting to kill one of the characters in the end. Heard that, Twihards?

And what will the mom of three do for the “extended” Twilight? Stephenie, who reports claimed think that “Twilight” sucks, even after the five films generated $3.3 billion in ticket sales, sometimes ponder on killing either Edward or Bella. She just hasn’t figured out which one died in the end.

She said, “What I would probably do is three paragraphs on my blog saying which of the characters died. I’m interested in spending time in other worlds, like Middle-Earth.”

When not trying to kill either one of the eternal Twilight lovers, Stephenie is busy producing and doing her best as a mum to her three kids.

“I’m spending 75% being a mom and a human being. I have a great son who’s a junior in high school, who makes me feel like I’m 112 years old. My other boys are in the sixth grade and the eighth grade,” Stephenie said in the interview.

Looking back at how she had handled Twilight and The Host compared to her recent project, Austenland, Stephenie described the experience as “intense.”

She said, “It was very intense because you have a mental picture of scenes and characters, based on the book. My role was to keep (things) as close (to the book) as possible.”

The Daily Mail noted that Stephenie hinted having more fun with Austenland than Twilight and The Host, when she said, “there was zero pressure, since this was not [her] novel.”

She added, “ It’s a comedy first and foremost, so there was a lot of laughter. Keri was five months pregnant and the least pregnant woman I’ve ever seen,' she revealed.”

Austenland had just held its screening at the Traverse City Film Festival (U.S.) on Aug 4, and the Sony Pictures film is set to be released both in the U.S. and the U.K. on Sept 27, 2013. The romantic comedy by Jerusha Hess stars Keri Russell, the lead female star who plays Jane Hayes. Joining her are JJ Feild, Jennifer Coolidge, Bret McKenzie, Jane Seymour, among others.
