British actor, Robert Pattinson is going on a promotional tour in Australia in May for his latest film, “Water For Elephants” he has starred with actress, Reese Witherspoon.

The actor, said the Daily Telegraph will attend the movie premiere at the State Theater on May 6. He will be joined in by co-star, Oscar winning actor, Christoph Waltz and the film director, Francis Lawrence.

In the film, Pattinson plays Jacob Jankowski, an animal handler who falls in love for a circus performer, Marlena Rosenbluth played by Reese Witherspoon.

The conflict of the romantic-depression-era drama revolves around Pattinson’s (Jankowski) romance with Witherspoon (Rosenbluth) who is married to an abusive animal trainer of a husband, played by Waltz, who won an Oscar for his outstanding performance in ‘Inglorious Basterds’.

Based on the novel written by Sara Gruen’s novel, the film shows the life of the 90-year old Jankowski reminiscing the challenges he faced during the Depression period, including the brutality of circus life as he fell in love with the wife of an animal trainer.

A 90-year-old man reminisces about his life during the Depression, when he found work at a B-level circus taking care of the animals. He sees the brutality of circus life while falling for the wife of an abusive animal trainer.

Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) will also attend the State Theatre premiere on May 6 with director Francis Lawrence.

Lawrence, according to The Daily Telegraph has talked enthusiastically about Pattinson’s on-screen chemistry with Witherspoon.

The animal coordinator for the film, Paul "Sled" Reynolds, has however told People magazine that Twilight’s Edward is ‘actually smitten with a very different co-star’.

This often conflicting views on who Robert Pattinson is really in love with is mirrored in another report by IBTimes on how Pattinson's relationship with real-life sweetheart, Kristen Stewart.

Meanwhile, the film's animal coordinator noted that Pattinson has also found fascination with his other on-screen mate, Tai, the 42-year-old four-ton elephant who Reynold’s claimed R-Pattz has also fallen in love with the minute he saw him.

"Rob was non-committal until he saw the elephant," Reynolds was quoted telling People by The Daily Telegraph.

This is Robert Pattinson’s first trip Down Under and screaming of fans will soon reverberate the airwaves again.
