Roger Federer Dominates, Eliminates Unmotivated Andy Murray In 2014 ATP World Tour Finals
Needing a straight sets win over the World No. 2, the pressure got to Andy Murray of United Kingdom as the Brit suffered a 6-0, 6-1 beating at the hands of Roger Federer of Switzerland in the final Group B stage match of the 2014 ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 Arena In London, U.K. Federer’s victory he tops the group with Kei Nishikori finishing second and join him in the semifinal round.
Nishikori edged replacement player David Ferrer, who played in lieu of the injured Milos Raonic (Canada) earlier on Friday in three sets, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1. Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka, Tomas Berdych and Marin Cilic belong in the other group and the two players who will join Federer and Nishikori will be decided late on Saturday.
Federer stayed perfect (3-0) in London and will face the second-ranked player in Group A in the knockout stage while Murray was left in awe of what transpired agains the Swiss Maestro. Murray needed to win in two sets and he couldn’t even get to two games.
“It wasn't what I was looking for when I went on the court,” Murray said via the tournament’s official website. “Everything he tried tonight came off. He has the ability to do that.”
Almost everything as Murray won a single game in the second in the match that lasted just under an hour (0:56). The Swiss broke the home country bet five of six times and had a 14/14 rate on first serve points won stamping his class on his rival.

Semifinal Scenarios For Other Group
With a 2-0 record, Djokovic will aim to stay perfect in London as well when he faces Berdych on Friday. Djokovic is already assured of a spot in the semifinals but his seeding in the next round is yet to be decided. If Djokovic wins, he’ll gain top seed and face Nishikori and if the Serb loses he’ll take up the mouth-watering semis match-up with rival Federer. Berdych, Wawrinka and Cilic are all in the hunt but only one will advance depending on the final scores on Friday.
