'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story': Darth Vader the main focus in new promo pictures

Darth Vader is the main focus of the new set of promo pictures of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” While the Sith Lord will appear in the movie; the main villain is Director Orson Krennic. A full synopsis of the film has now been released online, teasing what the big baddie is up to.

A new set of promo pictures of the movie have been posted on Flickering Myth. Darth Vader is the centre of attraction in the pictures. The villainous character can be seen with background images of the Death Star.

The main plot of the movie revolves around a group of Rebels attempting to steal the plans of the Death Star. In the timeline in which the film is set; the Empire is preparing to test the super weapon and the Rebels are desperate to know the details about it, in order to be able to come up with a strategy to counter it.

The protagonist of “Rogue One: A star Wars Story” is Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones). She is the daughter of Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen), the scientist involved in the development of the Death Star. This is the reason why his daughter is chosen to lead the mission.

According to the synopsis of the film posted on Coventry Telegraph, Galen Erso is friends with Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn). The Separatists apparently kidnap Galen and his family, and he is rescued by his friend. The indebted scientist then goes on to continue his research for the Republic, which is now under the firm control of Chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid).

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” has been directed by Gareth Edwards. The movie is slated to be released on Dec. 16, 2016. This is prequel to the original trilogy and is expected to end with a connection to “A New Hope.”
