The first trailer introduced the protagonist Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) as an outsider who is brought into the Rebel Alliance specifically to lead a team against the Empire. The team will be tasked with stealing the plans for the Empire’s first super weapon known as the Death Star, which is capable of destroying an entire planet with a single attack.
Some of her team members include Bodhi Rook (RIz Ahmed), Chirrut (Donnie Yen), Bistan (Warwick Davis), Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker) and a reprogrammed Imperial droid known as K-2SO. On the Empire’s side a new troop unit called Death Troopers in black uniform will be introduced.
The main villain in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn). The character was seen in his white uniform in the first trailer. There will also be a cameo appearance of Darth Vader in the movie, with James Earl Jones lending his voice to the character once again.
The Rebels will be using a new spacecraft in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” in their mission. The ship is used to transport troops and it is also a gunship. A new video released on YouTube revealed that the ship is used to transport troops to war zones and get out as quickly as possible. The wings of the ship move, depending on the requirement.
