'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story': Soldiers, K-2SO droid and character pictures released
New pictures of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” have been released online. The pictures show the new Imperial soldiers known as the Death Troopers and major characters from the movie.
The pictures posted on Games Radar begin with the protagonist Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones). She can be seen wearing the same black dress from the trailer, and she appears to be preparing to steal the plans for the Death Star.
There are also pictures of the regular Stormtroopers and the new Death Troopers. They appear to be in an action sequence at a beach. There is another picture of the new units in a hilly region.
A behind the scenes picture shows some of the cast members keenly listening to someone off-screen. Two of the members of the Rebels’ team Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen) and Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen) can be seen at what appears to be the same beach location as the soldiers of the Empire.
The main villain of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) is featured in one of the pictures. Forest Whitaker (Saw Gerrera) will be playing the role of one of the Rebels. One of the pictures shows his character in costume.
Apart from the stills from the movie, individual character posters have also been released. The hero team will be joined by a droid known as K-2SO (Alan Tudyk). A picture of the droid appears in one of the character posters.
The main plot of the movie revolves around a group of Rebels, led by Jyn, attempting to steal the plans of the Death Star. In the movie the Empire is just beginning to test their super weapon, which is intended to instill fear in the hearts of detractors.
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is set to be released on Dec. 15 in Australia. This is the first spin-off from the franchise, and it is being directed by Gareth Edwards.
