Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey’s drawing power will be tested in this month’s pay-per-view event, UFC 184. After being named as the sole main event for the Feb. 28 fight at her hometown of Los Angeles, California, Rousey is thrust to the center of the spotlight with a lot of interested contenders waiting for the outcome of her fight against number 2 contender Cat Zingano.

Among them are two of her fiercest rivals in Miesha Tate and Cris “Cyborg” Justino. Tate won her third straight bout via a late surge against fellow wrestling great Sara McMann. Now, she is hoping for a third shot at the title and is keen on being in the sidelines for the Rousey-Zingano match. The 28-year-old American fighter hopes that Dana White will give her a chance at the title despite two arm bar submissions to Rousey, but up to this point, nothing has been committed yet.

Justino is a different story. The Invicta Fighting Championships fighter is rumoured to be in talks with the parent company of the UFC to possibly stage a match with biggest rival Rousey. Many are raising their eyebrows over the staging of the 11th event of the outfit a day before UFC 184 with also picking Los Angeles as the venue. To make things more intriguing one of the main offerings of Invicta is the inaugural featherweight title match between ”Cyborg” and Charmaine Tweet.

Rousey did not mind the happy coincidence and relayed she had been subjected to many of these tactics in the past. She even went on to recount a story when Justino was among the faces in crowd in one of her previous weigh-ins. She adds that she will face her rival when the time comes and let the thing drag itself out, even comparing the rivalry to boxing’s Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“I’ll deal with Cyborg when it’s time to deal with her, and when she comes around and when she’s tired of really dragging this whole thing out. As you see with Pacquiao and Mayweather, it’s sometimes a good thing to really drag it out and build up that anticipation. I’m gonna beat Cat now and worry about her later,” Rousey Told Sherdog.

In the meantime, Rousey swears that her focus is 100% on her upcoming match against Zingano and is not letting future matches get in the way of her concentration. The brilliant judoka gave credit to her current opponent by pointing out that Zingano gave the crowd a great match whe she toppled Tate and she expects more of the same when they finally get to be alone in the Octagon at the end of February.
