Rose Byrne shows off baby bump on ‘Neighbors 2’ set
Rose Byrne and her longtime boyfriend Bobby Cannavale are expecting their first child together. The pregnant Australian actress recently showed off her baby bump while filming “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.”
On Oct. 26 (Monday), Byrne was with her co-stars Zac Efron and Seth Rogen on the set of “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” in Los Angeles, where she had two wardrobe changes. She first wore red pants and a white T-shirt and later changed to an oversized pea coat, according to Us Weekly.
In “Neighbors,” which was released on May 9, 2014, Byrne and Rogen’s characters - Kelly Radner and Mac Radner - already have a child. It remains to be seen whether Byrne’s character is pregnant in the upcoming sequel.
Directed by Nicholas Stoller, “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” also stars “Friends” alum Lisa Kudrow and “Hotely Transylvania” star Selena Gomez. Chloe Grace Moretz, Kiersey Clemons, Dave Franco, Carla Gallo, Ike Barinholtz, Billy Eichner, Denise Renae Larson, Clara Mamet, Elise Vargas, Felix Chu, Natosha Riedl, Thomas Downing, Tyler Carden, and Jordanne Calvin are also part of the cast.
Stoller co-wrote the “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” screenplay with Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O’Brien. The comedy film will hit theatres on May 20, 2016.
In between the 2014 film “Neighbors” and the upcoming sequel, Byrne starred in “This is Where I Leave You,” “Adult Beginners,” “Annie” and “Spy.” The soon-to-be first-time mother is also set to star in the upcoming films “The Meddler” and “The Something.”
After “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising,” Byrne will star in the 2016 film “X-Men: Apocalypse.” She will play Moira MacTaggert opposite Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey and Olivia Munn as Psylocke, among others.
On the other hand, Efron will star in “Dirty Grandpa” opposite Robert De Niro before “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.” Set to be released on Jan. 22, 2016, “Dirty Grandpa” is also a comedy film featuring Efron and De Niro as grandson and grandfather.
