To play as Elizabeth Taylor is probably a dream to any actress in Hollywood, not to mention, it's also not an easy task to pull off. And while Lindsay Lohan is celebrating for her new role, Rosie O'Donnell clearly isn't satisfied.

On the Today show, Rosie didn't hold back her words as she said what she truly feels about Lohan playing the role of iconic superstar Elizabeth Taylor. O'Donnell voiced out her opinion and said that Lindsay was unfit to play Taylor.

"No. Because she's had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including SNL. She was out and not at rehearsal. I think she's not in a place to work," Rosie answered when asked if it was a good idea to cast Lohan in the film.

Star Jones, a co-host of "The View" said that she thinks the young actress was talented but haven't done enough over the past few years. However, former CNBC talk show host, Donny Deutsch, called Linday the modern day Elizabeth Taylor wherein Rosie was clear to disagree.

"You're out of your mind. You're a crackhead! Get out of here! The last thing she did good she was 16. I don't think she's right for the role and I don't think she's capable at this point of doing what's needed," she said frankly.

Meanwhile, Steve Honig, a spokesperson of Lindsay said that O'Donnell should be focused on her career and not on anyone else's. He added that it was a shame for Rosie to use offensive words towards someone in order for her to be talked about.

According to Radar Online, Michael Lohan came in defense for his daughter saying that Lindsay was far more talented than Rosie.

"Who the hell is Rosie O'Donnell to judge anyone, especially Lindsay who has far more talent than Rosie ever had?" he said.

Although there were doubts as to whether the role was secured for Lindsay, Lifetime Network confirmed that the deal is sealed. In a statement, they said that they are thrilled to have Lindsay portray the beloved Hollywood star Elizabeth Taylor.
