Prince Charles could not hide his joy with the birth of his first grandchild and the Prince of Wales revealed that the third heir in line has been nicknamed “Georgie,” he described as “loud but wonderful.”

The first in line to the throne made his revelations speaking to the visitors at the Whitstable Oyster Festival in Kent and he said: “He’ll be known as Georgie in no time.”

Beaming with pride, Prince Charles also claimed that the newborn Royal heir sure brings joy to the Royal family telling Teacher Nicki Wray of Nottingham that he could never be happier. Wray shared to Mirror UK how she took the chance to ask his thoughts the moment she caught his eye and she said, ‘congratulations grandad, you must be so pleased.’

Prince Charles reportedly said, “yes, we are, pleased as punch’.”

At the festival, the first-time dad made his way to the older section of the gathering and he was heard joking, ‘Ah, here we go. Is this the granny section? Well I suppose this is where I should stand now,’ by 66-year old Lynda Robinson, wearing his big smiles.

The Prince and his wife Camilla were showered with gifts at the festival, including tiny T-shirts Prince Charles snapped close to his chest.

The Royal couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton, are now back to the Middletons at Bucklebury where the Duchess of Cambridge opted to stay for the first few months after giving birth to the third king in waiting. Prince William is reportedly going back to his work soon and Kate has asked her mum to help her care for the Royal baby.

The Kensington Palace earlier announced that Prince George will not have a nanny, a first for a Royal heir. Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry both had had nannies when they were kids. But the Duchess of Cambridge will be looking after Prince George by herself.
