It seems to be going well for Russell Crowe lately. First, there are the amazing projects lined up for him. Second is the great weight loss. And now, earning a profit of $500,000 from having sold his investment apartment in Sydney.

The actor waited a good 10 years before he finally offered his lush apartment for $1.5 million. The "Gladiator" star is the also the owner of South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL Club and has a penthouse costing about $14 million located at the complex in Woollomooloo.

His agent who managed the transaction, Brad Pillinger, chose not to discuss the details of the recent sale but it was clear that Crow earned the stated profit with all the units on the top floor costing about $2 million already.

The two-storey apartment called Potts Point serves as the accommodation for recruits for South Sydney Rabbitohs football.

More Good News For Crowe

Russell Crowe along with other prominent names in the film industry will soon direct short films for an Aussie film anthology. It was director John Polson who acted as host to this gathering of great talents for a project called Sydney Unplugged.

The hottest names in the Australian cinema scene will contribute to the project, including Toni Collette, Rachel Ward, Kieran Darcy-Smith.

The project will be released by Icon Film Distribution as 2013 comes, and will be sold internationally at the Arclight Films. Polson is the director of such films as 'Swimfan' and 'Hide and Seek' along with episodes of hit television shows like 'The Mentalist.'

The director is also the founder of the biggest festival of short films in the world called Tropfest.
