Ryan Gosling as Christian Grey for 'Fifty Shades of Grey': Hilary Duff Agrees

E.L. James' erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey", is definitely getting a lot of hype these days and so are the potential actors to play the male protagonist.

Who better to play the handsome and brooding 27-year old entrepreneur, Christian Grey, than the sexiest man alive, Ryan Gosling? 90's Star, Hilary Duff agrees that Ryan would make the perfect, Christian Grey.

Author of "Fifty Shades of Grey", E.L. James, has got the world wrapped around her finger. Everyone and even celebrities are totally addicted to the erotica trilogy.

The number of readers keeps doubling every day and to date, there has been over 10 billion readers worldwide. Despite the novel being banned from over hundreds of bookshelves in the US alone, "Fifty Shades of Grey" continues to be the top downloaded and top book to be bought.

The film is set to be in the works but the production studio, LIonsgate, still has not released any updates on the said project. While other people patiently wait and cross their fingers for the final cast to be announced, a few others are creating their own potential lists. Hollywood celebrities are in on it too and announcing who their best bets for the lead roles is.

One celebrity who has just started reading the book right after birth is Disney's' biggest star, Hilary Duff.

"I feel a little dirty reading that book right, just with my new baby-but I'm in, I like it," explained Duff.

The "Lizzie McGuire" star is so much into the novels that she's already got the perfect actor up for the role of Christian Grey. Who would it be?

"Personally I would love if Ryan Gosling would do it, but I know he never would," shared Hilary in an exclusive interview with Celebuzz.

Other celebrities Duff says to have potential to play Christian Grey would be Ian Somerhalder of "The Vampire Diaries" and Robert Pattinson of "Twilight". How about Duff's' protégé for Anastasia Steele? Well, Hilary shares she could "totally see" Kristen Stewart play Anastasia Steele.

With no news from Lionsgate and the potential lists plus polls continuing over hundreds of web pages, the cast of "Fifty Shades of Grey" continue to be a spark of debate over readers and fans of the book alike.

However, like Hilary Duff, half the world agrees to Ryan Gosling playing Christian Grey. The big question is: Will Ryan Goslings' girlfriend, Eva Mendez, allow it?
