The specs and features of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 spilled over the Internet. It seems that tech giant Samsung modified the device inspired by its best-selling smartphone Galaxy S3.

Samsung appears to be keen in dominating every hardware market with the imminent release of its newest tablet - Galaxy Note 10.1.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is modified, compared to the one showed during Mobile World Congress last February. The tablet is expected to feature 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 pixels display, dual-core 1.4GHz processor, microSD card slot, 16GB/32GB/64GB built in storage variants, 5-megapixel with LED flash support and may weigh close to 580 g.

However, the biggest concern remains whether the specs will remain constant at the time of release since many months have passed and there are better tablets released like the Nexus 7.

However, there are reports that Samsung has continuously altered the new tablet with additional features and specs since MWC showdown. The device was returned to company's R&D center for a specs overhaul.

Instead of a dual-core processor, the tablet will sport a faster quad-core processor. According to a Korean blogger who posted a rundown of the specs of the new tablet, the device will feature an Exynos 4412 chipset which is same as Samsung Galaxy S3. There is 1280×800 PLS 150 ppi display, 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 5-megapixel camera, 1.9-megapixel secondary camera and a 7000 mAh battery.

To the dismay of many, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 will not be getting Jelly Bean on purchase but one can expect an update in OS in the near future. Many devices have already begun porting the latest OS via ROM modifications or direct updates for certain devices.

Another feature that is worth mentioning is the S-Pen stylus similar to that of Galaxy Note smartphone. Thus, Galaxy Note 10.1 will have the same features of Galaxy Note in terms of screen display.

The new tablet is expected to hit the shelves on August 15. Samsung Electronics America released an announcement for a media event on the aforementioned date. However, the announcement did not specify the device that will be launched. Many speculated that it could be either the Galaxy Note 10.1 or Galaxy Note 2 or both.
