Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet to be Released on August 15?: Device Features and Specs
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet was rumored to be released on August 15, as indicated on the media invitation disseminated last Friday. Samsung will be unveiling the newest addition to their Galaxy line.
The South Korean tech giant will host a press conference to reveal the details regarding the device. However, the details on the particular device that will be revealed on that date are not yet disclosed.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 could be only one of the rumored devices that Samsung will release before the year ends. The other device speculated to be released is the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 smartphone although recent reports point at August 30 release date at the IFA Event in Berlin, Germany.
However, there are strong speculations that the company will not unveil a smartphone since the announcement is from Samsung Electronics America, which is another arm of the company. The arm is responsible for other hardware devices of Samsung apart from smartphones, which is usually handled by the Telecommunications arm of the company.
Samsung first introduce the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress. However, it has been five months but there is still no sign when the device will be released.
The tablet a 10.1-inch touchscreen equipped with S-pen capabilities. With its new 'S Note' feature, this tablet will combine notes and sketches together with web content, images and other digital media into a personalized storyboard.
The S Note also includes various ready-to-use templates, such as meeting minutes, recipes, cards, diary and magazines. Hand-drawn geometric shapes can be digitized by using the Shape Match function, which helps users create more organized idea sketches and storyboards.
The S Pen provides detailed pressure sensitivity, and more accuracy and control when editing or writing. This provides an analog pen writing experience on a digital device.
The other features and specifications of the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet are Quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos processor, a display with a 1280 x 800 resolution, up to 64GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 5-megapixel main camera, a 1.9 megapixel web camera, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and the S Pen stylus.
