Samsung Galaxy Note 3: 5 New Rumoured Features Hint a Powerful Phablet
Five new rumoured specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 hint that a powerful phablet is on the way.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to make its debut in the third quarter of this year. Rumours point to possible September release date. There are speculations that Samsung will hold the announcement of the Note 3 on the annual IFA event in Berlin. The said launch will allow Samsung to maximize its profits and to complete the tried-and-tested September product cycle of the Galaxy Note series.
It is initially speculated that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would make its grand debut at the 2013 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week in its keynote. The rumours are fuelled by the significant price drop of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 at some resellers early this month.
Below are the five new rumoured features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that promises an amazing smartphone-tablet hybrid later this year.
Metal Chassis for Body - New rumours claimed that Samsung would include a metal chassis and ditching its plastic body. Samsung is known for putting out devices that have been boldly made from a hard plastic as opposed to glass or metal like other companies' devices, there's been a great deal of surprise in the media world as we have learned the company may now be releasing the Galaxy Note 3 in metal.
Eight Core Exynos 5 Octa Processor - New rumors say the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will come with an eight-core GPU in addition to an eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor. However, some people are sceptical whether Samsung will repeat what it did with the Galaxy S4 where it combined to quad core processors, which will not work at the same time.
3GB RAM - In order to compensate for the powerful processor, Samsung is rumoured to include a 3GB of RAM in the upcoming handset. Samsung started the mass production of 20 Nano class DDR3 mobile RAM either for its own smartphone or for Apple.
5.99 Inch Screen Display - Contrary to previous rumors, this batch says the Note 3 will have a 5.99-inch display, about a tenth of an inch larger than last we heard. That would place the Note 3's screen size pretty squarely between the 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch version of the Galaxy Mega line, a mid-tier brand that hits this summer that Samsung has touted as the largest phones in the world. SamMobile says the Note 3 will have similar dimensions to the smaller Mega phone, but the bezel will be thinner.
13MP, Dual Shot Functionality - Just like the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Note 3 is expected to have the amazing feature of 13 megapixels with dual shot functionality. This allows you to take photos using front as well as rear camera simultaneously of the device.
