New rumours claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will sport a similar rumoured feature to that of iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S.

The guys at Sammobile received an anonymous tip saying that Samsung is also readying fingerprint scanners which will be most likely fitted inside the unannounced Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The presence of the support for using biometric authentication system was discovered by mistake by an user, who was searching through an archive containing the system files for Samsung Galaxy S3, called SecSettings.apk.

On the other hand, Apple is reported to introduce a fingerprint scanner for the upcoming smartphones and tablets running iOS, as the Cupertino-based company has purchased last summer the portfolio of the AuthenTec security company. Moreover, Apple has also signed a contract with an Australian company called Microlatch, which allows them to use a technology that allow integration of fingerprint scanning support in the apps that use NFC connectivity.

Reports suggest that the next generation Galaxy Note will come with major improvements in not just the display quality that is certainly going to be a full HD display, processor is also going to improve and so the camera. It is also expected to get many of the new features that came with Samsung's latest flagship handset Galaxy S4.

Reports also suggest that the S-Pen is going to get another facelift with the launch of the new Galaxy Note that is being dubbed as Galaxy note 3.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to make its debut in the third quarter of this year. Rumours point to possible September release date. There are speculations that Samsung will hold the announcement of the Note 3 on the annual IFA event in Berlin.
