Reports about Vivo's Xplay 3S have been surfacing all month long. There is much hype about the product, especially when several sources declared it as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 killer. The label did not come out of the blue as the reported specs prove that it can really compete with Samsung Galaxy's Note 3.

People can expect the Xplay 3S to be one of the best Android phones that will ever hit the market. The latest leaked reports said people will get to see the device around Dec. 12. GSM Arena leaked an image of the invite that has been going around the Internet. The invite points to Dec. 12 as the official launch of the device.

Some of the specs reported include a 5.5-inch display and 2560 x 1440 resolution. The device will also feature the world's first Quad HD (4x 720p) display on a smartphone. It will pack on a Snapdragon 800 chipset with 3GB RAM and USB 3.0 ports.

There are no details yet about the camera specifications though there are reports saying that it will sport an f/1.8 aperture plus 4G LTE connectivity.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 packs on a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors offering 1080 x 1920 pixels, 5.7 inches (~386 ppi pixel density). This means it has lower resolution compared to the Vivo Xplay 3S. The Note 3 also runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (N9005, N9002) or Exynos 5 Octa 5420 (N9000) plus Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 (N9005, N9002)/ Quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 (N9000) and Adreno 330 (N9005, N9002)/ Mali-T628 MP6 (N9000).

People will have to wait until the Vivo Xplay 3s hit the market to see whether it is really a Samsung Note 3 killer.
