Samsung Galaxy Note 3 New Feature Announced; Rumoured Fingerprint Technology Not Included
Samsung was supposedly already at the edge of a breakthrough, with rumours of the finger print technology already in development for its succeeding devices.
However, Geeky-Gadgets reports that this feature may now be abandoned, at least for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
According to the report, Samsung has been in the drawing boards with Validity Sensors, a developer for fingerprint sensor technology, and already have the system at hand. The main problem is allegedly the number of fingerprint sensor technology that it can put out for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
So far, this has only been the rumoured feature now said to be discontinuing from the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device. The addition of the eye tracking technology in the Galaxy S4, such as the Eye Scroll and the Eye Pause, are still rumoured to be included in the device.
The main date to look forward to for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is September 4, which will be the Samsung Unpacked event, and is expected to be released on the same month worldwide.
Going back to the problem on production, Samsung has yet to announce anything official about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but if the company is already considering production problems to be an issue, does this hint at the possibility of the release date for the device to be very near?
One added feature to compensate?
Even with the absence of fingerprint sensor technology, Samsung has several others up its sleeves, starting with a rumoured feature that will be added to the list.
As per Gotta Be Mobile, the latest addition is the 3GB of RAM, based on the announcement of Samsung that it will start producing the 3G of RAM tailored for its upcoming devices.
Considering the newly announced Exynos 5 Octa, it would not come as a surprise if the 3GB RAM would be created to match devices that would feature this particular chip. And basically, since the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is one of the upcoming phablets, an improvement on the RAM capacity is not surprising.
It could also help Samsung make a name for being the first company to release a phablet bearing the 3GB of RAM specification.
Another leaked information that has recently surfaced is the possibility of three screen options made for three different versions of the tablet.
Phone Arena reports that, while there is one standout feature, that being a 5.7-inch measurement, 1080x1920 resolution for the FHD screen, it will be varied for particular markets and segments.
There will be a premium version of the device, which will be the much-rumoured flexible OLED display (another achievement for Samsung, if it does attain this), an LCD FHD display for the European market, and a Super AMOLED FHD glass for Asian markets.
Since it has been previously rumoured that there will be different processors for markets--the Exynos 5 Octa 5420 for the international version and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 for the U.S. market--it feels as if the different phones may seem significantly different from each other.
AnTuTu Benchmark score way high
As if to cap the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is gearing up to be a pretty sweet phone, an AnTuTu Benchmark score for the SM-900 device has recently received a 33,082 score.
According to Android Spin, this phone is said to be the Hong Kong variant for the device, and one that, so far, carries the Android Jellybean 4.2.2 and the Exynos 4 Octa. Given the changes in the inside of the Galaxy Note 3 as rumoured, it may prove to be a much more powerful device.
