Leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 have appeared once more, thanks to @techkiddy, and this time, the snapshot seems to be a true prototype, since it is too angular compared to Samsung's trademark curved edges--unless a design overhaul is in order.

Also, the leaked images seem to be in a more informal setting, like an office desk, instead of the screenshot from earlier, wherein it was snapped in an assembly line.

As far as the rumours for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are concerned, Geeky-Gadgets reports that the Smart eye tracking technology seen in the Samsung Galaxy S4 may also be featured in the Note 3, among the other previously rumoured features.

Eyes are now turned to the Samsung Unpacked event this coming September 4, and the device is then expected to go on sale in the U.S. and Europe on the same month.

Exynos 5 Octa 5420 finally official

Samsung recently teased the Exynos 5 Octa 5420 in a tweet, but has now offered an official press release detailing the power and capabilities of its newest chip.

GSM Arena reports that the Exynos 5 Octa features 20% more power than its predecessor, with a quad Cortex A15 running at 1.8 GHz, and a Cortex A7 at 1.3 GHz.

The memory has been upgraded despite retaining the 32-but LPDDR, and can now support 1866MHz speed for a maxed out bandwidth of 14.6Gbps. It also has Imagination's PowerVRSGX544MP3 graphics and a 6-core ARM Mali-T628 MP6.

What it has retained of its previous model is the ARM big.LITTLE architecture, four Cortex A15 and Cortex A7 cores.

The Eynos 5 Octa is expected to power the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for one version, while the U.S. and Europe version is still expected to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to get "refreshed?"

With all eyes turned to the September unpacking event with the expectation of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 being the star of the show, there seems to be a buzz for the current device, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, as it may be getting a refresh version.

According to Phone Arena, an AnTuTu score of 26901 was leaked for a Samsung GT-N7108D device, hinting at the possibility of a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor in the works for the Note 2 device.

The model number was also reported to be seen through the FCC, with the hint that the refresh may be heading for Asian territory.

The report suggests that this could be Samsung's midrange device for those who may not want a high-end such as the Galaxy Note 3-also suggesting that the recent additions of the Smart technology may not be far off from the upcoming high-end device.
